What do I do if my child is late to school?

If your child arrives after 8:00 a.m., he/she will need to sign in at the school office and receive an admit pass to class. We encourage students to be on time to school, as tardies are recorded in your child’s attendance record and are disruptive to the classroom environment.

Can my child take medication at school?

Parents must give all medication to the school nurse for dispensing. We do not allow students to carry any type of medication, including throat lozenges, and over-the-counter medications. The only exception to this is self-carry epi-pens or inhalers. We do allow students to carry these items if the nurse receives a written note from the physician. For more detailed information about medications, please contact our school nurse at (520) 625.4581 ext. 7346, or feel free to view Section J - JLCD of our policy manual
