The Continental Elementary School District #39 Governing Board is a group of five district residents each selected to four-year terms. Members serve without pay. The Board is responsible for the educational policies and financial plans for the district within community resources. Please meet our Board members:

I am a member of the Board, because I love the school and community within it. I am proud that our school has grown with the community but has not lost its small school atmosphere. Our Board works together to accomplish all we do. We hope to build a new school, maintain our academic standing, and provide the best atmosphere possible for the students.

I enjoy being on the Governing Board and being able to serve the community and school that has given my family so much. I hope to foster a synergy between the Board, administration, teachers, and students, and to help keep traditions at Continental School alive. We have implemented many things that have helped our District, such as including several electives for the middle school, adding technology in our classrooms and infrastructure, and planning for the changes that growth brings.

I am looking forward to the opportunity to give back to the community in which I have lived since 1984. I am proud that Continental School has such an outstanding staff and positive image within the Green Valley community. During my term, I hope to help the Board maintain the outstanding academic program that is in place, as well as the extra curricular programs the school currently offers. As a Board member, I also hope to help solve problems that arise because of  growing student enrollment.
