Continental Elementary School District #39 has a governing board made up of five district residents, each voted in to serve a four-year term. Members serve in a volunteer capacity, which means without pay. Continental’s governing board holds public meetings on a monthly basis to effectively and ethically oversee and monitor the district's mission. Their responsibilities comprise all school board policies as well as the integrity of its financial dealings and the educational excellence expected to be provided to each of its approximately 680 students.
All requests to address the board need to be placed on the governing board meeting agenda. Such requests need to be directed to our superintendent, Ms. Roxana Rico, at (520) 625.4581, ext. 7305. A call to the public form can be completed and brought to any public meeting. With the district secretary’s receipt of the form, you will be allowed to address the board during the “Call to the Public.” Please be advised that no action nor discussion can take place as a result of your call to the public form.
If you have further questions, our district secretary, Nallali A. Turrubiates, may be of assistance at (520) 625.4581, ext. 7304.

All board meeting agendas are posted on BoardDocs for your convenience.
Continental is a member of the Arizona School Boards Association (ASBA) and receives valuable support, resources, and information in connection with that membership. ASBA also has programs of interest to the community. One such program is their Hope Program, which allows individuals to nominate their favorite hero of public education.
