I attended and graduated form Nogales High School. I then went on to Pima and Cochise College. I graduated from Northern Arizona University in 2000.
I am a proud Lumberjack. I graduated with my teaching degree, and a minor in Special Education in May of 2000.
I have attended NABE conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico and the ATDLE conference in Reno, Nevada which focuses on Dual Language Instruction, Arizona Dept. of Education Literacy, Writing workshops, Go Math training, Harry Wong: The First Days of School, Marzano.
I began teaching at Continental in 2016. This will be my 5th year at Continental and I currently teach Kindergarten Dual Language.
I started my career in Nogales as a Teacher’s Aide. I have taught Kindergarten-3rd grade. I have taught in Glendale and Tucson Az. My love and dedication for children stems from have my own wonderful children. I am very lucky to share my life with little children every day of my life! They bring so much joy and fill my heart with hope everyday. They are the reason I keep learning and loving. I am also part of an organization called DKG where women support eachother through education, leadership, networking, and team building activities. Our vision is to impact education worldwide. My school community is a very important part of my life and also my second family. They are always there to support me in any way.
I have raised 5 great kids and have 2 dogs.
