First Grade- Dual Language
I received my bachelor degree in Urban Studies from Loyola Marymount Unviersity, CA in the year 2000.
I received my teaching credential from National University, CA in 2002.
This is my fifth year teaching at Continental School. I have really enjoyed getting to know the students and working with the staff here. Once a Colt, always a Colt!
I was born and raised in southern California. I taught kindergarten for six years in the Los Angeles Unified School District. My family and I moved to Rancho Sahuarita in 2006 and I joyfully became a stay-at-home mom. In 2012, I was able to return to my teaching career since all my children were attending school. I was employed as a substitute teacher throughout the Sunnyside School District that year. Later, I accepted a teaching position as a second grade teacher in that district. Afterwards, I continued to subsitute in the Sunnyside USD and I also began to substitute in the Sahuarita USD. In 2015, I had the opportunity to work full-time as a Kindergarten teacher at a local charter school. I taught there for three years.
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself. My wonderful husband and I are both elementary school teachers and we have four spectacular children. My oldest son attended Kindergarten here at Continental back in 2006.
Yes, I speak Spanish. Si, yo hablo español.
Some of my favorite things to do are: cooking homemade meals for our family dinners and attending church every Sunday. We love to visit with family and friends here in Sahuarita, California, and in Sonora, Mexico.
