I have been teaching at Continental School since the fall of 1999. I started teaching third grade, went to fifth grade for several years before taking the Reading Specialist position. I went back into the classroom for many years as the kindergarten teacher until last year when I went back to being the district’s Reading Specialist. 

I have worked as an art teacher in a district in Wisconsin until I became a self-contained elementary teacher. I worked for a year in Palm Springs as a self-contained Gifted Teacher for grades 4 and 5 just before coming to Continental. 

I have two adult children who both attended Continental School. They are still the light of my life and I miss them dearly as they continue to grow as adults. I have a dog named Jack who is thirteen years old. He is a dachshund with beagle coloring. :)

When I am not teaching, I paint in oils on canvas. I love painting the desert southwest, Native Americans, and horses. Sometimes I use a brush, sometimes it’s a palette knife. There is a loom set up in my spare room that needs to be threaded with warping string. I think of it as fiber painting. I’m writing my third novel currently; this one is science fiction. I walk/jog five miles a day and golf on the weekends with my folks.
